PDFify is designed from the ground up to protect your privacy. All document scanning, image conversion, PDF password encryption, page reordering, and PDF compression happen 100% locally on your device. Your photos, documents, and signatures are never uploaded to any remote servers or cloud storage.
1. Information We Do NOT Collect
Because PDFify is a pure offline utility, we do not collect, store, or transmit any of the following:
- No Personal Documents: Images, photos, scanned pages, signatures, or generated PDF documents.
- No Passwords: Passwords you set to lock or unlock your PDF documents remain strictly local.
- No Personal Accounts: You do not need to register, sign in, or provide your email address or phone number to use PDFify.
2. Device Permissions & Why We Need Them
To provide core PDF utility functions, PDFify requests the following device permissions:
📷 Camera Permission
Used solely for the document scanner to capture multi-page documents directly.
🖼️ Photos & Media (Storage)
Required to select gallery images and save converted PDF files to your device storage.
📂 All Files Access (Optional)
Allows scanning and managing existing PDF documents in your Downloads or Documents folders.
3. Third-Party Libraries & Services
PDFify uses trusted industry-standard SDKs for ads, billing, and on-device ML:
- Google ML Kit Document Scanner: Runs Google's machine learning models locally on your device for auto-edge detection and perspective correction. No images are sent to Google servers.
- Google AdMob (Free Tier Only): Displays standard mobile ads to support ongoing development. AdMob may collect pseudonymous device identifiers in accordance with Google's Privacy Policy. Pro users enjoy an ad-free experience.
- Google Play In-App Billing: Handles secure payment processing for optional Pro lifetime upgrades. We do not store your credit card or financial information.
4. Data Retention & Deletion
All records, history, and generated PDFs reside entirely in your phone's private app storage. If you delete a PDF inside the app or uninstall PDFify, all app-cached records are permanently deleted immediately from your device.
5. Children's Privacy
PDFify does not knowingly collect any personal information from children under the age of 13. The app is suitable for users of all ages as a general offline document productivity tool.
